What is the Facebook Pixel (Meta Pixel) and why you should have one installed in your Website.

The Meta Pixel is a piece of code that you place on your website that allows you to track everyone who clicks onto your site it tracks the efficacy of your advertising by looking at what people do when they visit your site.

How I like to describe it to my clients is that when someone visits your Website, Facebook (Meta) and Google communicate with each other, if the email address that you are using Google with is associated with a Facebook account, then your data will be captured and you will then be put into an audience. We can then later make a Re-Targeting audience based on the people who have clicked to your website, using a Facebook advert showing them the exact item they looked at on your site or your latest special, deal or testimonial ect.

Over time the Facebook pixel will start to learn more about the people who visit your Website, once we have enough traction to the website and the pixel has collected a good amount of data, we can then create a “Lookalike Audience” Reach new people who are similar to the audiences who are currently visiting your Website. You can create a lookalike audience based on people who like your Page, conversion pixels or any of your existing Custom Audiences.

You can also use the Meta Pixel to:

Make sure your ads are shown to the right people.
Find new customers, or people who have visited a specific page or taken a desired action on your website.

Drive more sales.
Set up automatic bidding to reach people who are more likely to take an action you care about, like making a purchase.

Measure the results of your ads.
Better understand the impact of your ads by measuring what happens when people see them.

So ideally we drive as much “Cold Traffic” (people who don’t know about your brand yet) to your Website, capturing them into our re targeting audience, we then re-target them with the items or service they were interested in or an new deals, this will help keep your brand top of mind, generating more trust. This will lead to more leads or sales. We then create a lookalike audience of the Website visitors or people who have purchased off you, after awhile this turns into a well oiled machine, our adverts are using the lookalike audience to find people who would be interested in the product or service, the ratargeting adverts keep your brand top of mind and shine light on new deals or services, resulting in more sales or leads. This is incredibly powerful when done right.

In summary, if you do not have the Facebook Pixel (Meta Pixel) installed, you are losing all the traffic that visits your website.
